DISTRICT Arts is pleased to announce “SATURATION,” an exhibition exploring relationships between color, intensity and the way that purity impacts our visual experiences.

Saturation in the context of muted colors?  Sure.  Saturation impacted by glazing over white?  Why not?  Inspiration?  How about Elizabeth Osborne or Christopher St. Leger?

The works of 18 artists will be featured reflecting a variety of media, styles and interpretations.

The exhibition will open on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 and close on Sunday, July 21, 2019.  An opening reception will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 5-7PM.

Best in Show and an Award of Merit will be presented at the reception.

All works are for sale.

This exhibition is free and open to the public. All are welcome.

SATURATION was juried by Evan Boggess.  Evan is Director of the Phaze 2 Gallery at Shepherd University and Adjunct Instructor of Studio Art in the Department of Contemporary Art and Theater at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV.  He has a Master of Fine Arts, Hoffberger School of Painting, Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD.
