Ratha says, “I’ve had a passion for art since I was young and have been painting consistently for over 10 years. I enjoy painting memories of my travels- capturing exotic sceneries, luscious sunsets, flowers and portraits. I primarily work with oils; the vibrant colors and texture of oil paints bring every detail of my paintings to life.”
Born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, a nation rich in art and history, Ratha strives to share the culture and scenery of her homeland. Her paintings of Cambodia, “Faces of Bayon” and “Wall of Angkor” have both won People’s Choice Awards at the Frederick County Art Association Group Exhibition.
Ratha currently resides in Frederick, Maryland, and is an active member the Frederick County Art Association (FCAA) and a VIDA Artist.
