DISTRICT Arts, a contemporary art gallery located on Market Street in historic downtown Frederick, MD, is pleased to present NIGHT and DAY, a juried themed exhibition that features works where “opposites” are contrasted in the same piece. It could be the juxtaposition of light and dark or good and evil. Maybe war and peace or shadow and saturation. How about fantasy and reality in the same piece?
NIGHT and DAY will be independently juried with the works of approximately 20 artists selected for the exhibition.
An opening reception with the artists will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 5 – 7pm. The reception is free and open to the public, and will feature light hors d’oeuvres. The exhibition runs from January 30 to March 1, 2020, during which works by the other gallery artists will remain on display.
Details about the selected artists will appear on our website closer to the exhibition date.
All artists residing in the United States are invited to enter the juried exhibition. Any original 2-D work or 3-D work created within the last three years is eligible for entry.
We are accepting submissions for jurying from November 1 until December 31, 2019.
